Natural history
This bivalve was once fairly common in gravelly creeks as well as in medium to large portions of the Conasauga River.

Range
The triangular kidneyshell is found in the Conasauga River in Tennessee and Georgia.

Conservation status
The triangular kidneyshell is federally endangered.
