Campus Wildlife Guide:Amphibians

Few amphibians are commonly seen on or near our campus. Within the United States there are fewer than 200 species of amphibians. Amphibians can usually be found near or in freshwater and damp forested areas.

The species presented in this guide are only the most common ones that you should easily be able to see on or near the UGA campus. For more information on these and other amphibians of the area please refer to one of several printed field guides to reptiles and amphibians of this area.
