Yellow Jacket

Polistes Wasp
Print me

These guys are in the same order as the bees, but you'll see they're pretty different. The yellow jacket is often mistaken for a bee, but is actually does little pollinating. You'll know it by its shiny (not fuzzy) yellow and black stripes. The polistes wasps are built much the same, but are a duller brownish color. Watch out for these guys!
